2025-03-08 15:50:01 | siwli@toot.berlin | 11 | Success! | Followed the call posted by @k8vsy and went outside for a POTA activity today in the south of Berlin (DE-0493) Had my ever first pile-up and after some initial panic managed quite okay.Since I had some Parc-to-Parc QSOs, I guess this counts as #hamchallenge HC29S and HC16S@hamchallenge |
2025-04-19 00:49:04 | literatesavant@mastodon.au | 6 | Success! | Reposting this to get credit for Ham Challenge HC29S!I've done a lot of SOTA this week! I was camping with the family in Mt. Buffalo National Park over the weekend, and managed to activate The Horn and The Hump, both 10 pts. Then yesterday I went out for a day of activating with VK3HN and @vk3kr, and we covered Federation Range (8 pts), Mt. Strickland (6 pts), and Mt. Donna Buang (8 pts).I had little or no cell service at all of these, so self-spotting was difficult, and I was wishing I had set |

2025-05-02 21:35:58 | DJ5CW@social.darc.de | 19 | Success! | Early entry for #hamchallenge week 29: During our hiking tour close to Cesky Krumlov today we took a break in OKFF-2717 (Vyri vrch) and I set up my Elecraft K1 and made 45 QSOs on 20/30/40m. It was the first ever activation of this OKFF reference. We were blessed with perfect weather, but conditions were rather poor. #HC29S #hamradio #morsecode |

2025-07-19 17:26:13 | ian@mastodon.radio | 26 | Success! | Ticked off one of the new nearby #POTA parks this afternoon for Support Your Parks Summer 2025 and #HamChallenge week 29.Bands were in a real funny state this afternoon, particularly 20m. I was inaudible to some people and 59 to others at roughly the same distance.HC29S |
2025-07-19 22:13:42 | mcdanlj@social.makerforums.info | 13 | Success! | Squeaking in at the end of week #HC29S — I played #POTA today, hunting CW park-to-park, to test my new QRP linked dipole, entirely of my own design. Used a 10oz throw weight to put a slippery UHMWPE line over a branch and pull the dipole up. I like using UHMWPE throw line because it is very gentle to the tree. Then I pulled the arms out to form an inverted V.Took a bit over 2 hours, including faffing about with the new antenna. My first contact was with N2VGA in US-3617 in FL on 15m with 5w, whi |
